Ultimate Fajita Queso

 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Tallent Ultimate Fajita Sausage, removed from casing
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeño, finely diced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 2 cups Pepper Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Tortilla chips or toasted baguette slices for serving

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and brown the sausage, until cooked through.
  2. Sauté the Veggies: Add the diced onion and jalapeño, cooking until softened. If using, stir in the diced tomatoes.
  3. Melt the Cheese: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Gradually add shredded Pepper Jack cheese, stirring constantly until smooth.
  4. Season It Up: Mix in garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and white vinegar. Stir well to enhance the flavors.
  5. Serve & Garnish: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve warm with tortilla chips or toasted baguette slices.
